Friday, March 2nd

Hey everybody!

Once again, anime is this Friday, March 2nd. As usual we'll be in A-1046 at 7:30pm. This week we're bringing you a Sci-Fi night, because we all need some big guns, even bigger robots, and crazy technical talk once in a while.

HOWEVER - THIS SHOWING IS SUITABLE FOR AUDIENCES 17+. YOUNGER VIEWERS WILL BE TURNED AWAY. This is due to fairly large quantities of blood and gore. Anyone who is uncomfortable with this is also recommended to skip this week's showing.

Baldr Force EXE Resolution

Tooru Soma was a member of "Steppen Wolf", a group of hackers. The group decided to do one more hacking attack by attempting to hack into FLAK, a major military organization run by the United Nations to prevent cyber terrorism. However, they were discovered quickly, which resulted in the death of Yuuya, Steppen Wolf's leader and Tooru's friend, as well as their arrest. In order to avoid a long term in prison, Tooru ultimately decided to join FLAK, in order to find out who killed Yuuya. While Tooru tries to find the murderer of his friend, he and his new teammates are to defend the wired world from Fei Dao, an extremist group who threatens to disrupt the stability of the wired world.

Deus Machina Demonbande (TV)

Midterm Fest, oh yes!

It's that time of year again! Hoping to see you all tomorrow (FRIDAY) at 7:30 for the first night of our fest, which is Ouran High School Host Club. It's a 26-episode comedy, and I edited the website version of the summary so it spoils the first episode less than the e-mail did, so have a read below if you're so inclined. XD

The schedule:

Friday, Feb. 16th - Eps. 1-9.
Saturday, Feb. 17th - Eps. 10-18.
Sunday, Feb. 18th - Eps. 19-26.

In A-1047, which as most of you know is in the Arts Atrium. Hope to see you there!

Ouran High School Host Club

Haruhi is a poor student at a school for the ultra-wealthy, able to attend because of a scholarship, and unable to even afford a uniform. One day, after stumbling across the decidedly peculiar but very popular Ouran Host Club, Haruhi breaks a vase and, unable to pay for it, ends up in a strange servitude to the Club, who exist to entertain affluent schoolgirls with too much time on their hands. Haruhi, being average almost to a fault, doesn't know what to make of the unconventional activities of the Host Club (or of the even more unconventional members), but having little choice, must play along.

Groundhog Day showing!

Seeing how we're in Newfoundland, we've undoubtedly got a long winter left.

In any case, there's a showing tonight, once again in A-1046 and we'll be starting at 7:30!

In an attempt to lighten the mood set by last week's angstfest...

Kyatto Ninden Tyandee

In the town of Edoropolis, Koon no Kami is making all sorts of trouble with his plots totake over the city, and only the Himitsu Ninja Tai Nyanki (Secret Ninja Team Nyanki), a team made up of Pururun Nyan, Yattaro, and Sukashii can stop him, while trying to run their pizza shop too! One of the earliest anime to be imported from Japan, you might know this series as Samurai Pizza Cats. Come see the original version, where the Big Cheese is a fox, and our "samurai" are really ninja!

Zero no Tsukaima

Meet Louise, a budding magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise", due to her current record of zero successes with magic. In fact, her magic tends to go spectacularly wrong. Now, as an important test of her aptitude for magic, she must summon a familiar to be her servant. At this critical moment, she summons up all her magic and wishes for a familiar that is "devoted, beautiful and powerful", and gets... Hiraga Saito, an ordinary Japanese boy. It's difficult to say who is more surprised and dismayed, but the rules don't allow for second attempts. Louise is stuck with her strange familiar, and he with her.
