Last Showing for the Summer!

So, as the semeter winds to an end, so does the Society. This Friday is our last showing of the semester, and we'll be in our usual SN-2109 at 7:30.

What're we showing? Good question. In reality, we're not so sure either! This week we're hauling a pair of tapes out of our library and popping them in the player! (No, we're not doing what we did Fall '06 and bringing part of the library, just two tapes.) So come tomorrow night and find out what we're playing! Nobody will know until then!

To be safe, tomorrow night will be rated 14+.

If you can't come, we look forward to seeing you in the fall! Check your e-mails during the first week of classes for news regarding the semester's activites!

<.< So yeah...

Um, hi! There's anime tonight. At 7:30, in room SN-2109.

We're showing Galaxy Railways and Aquarion. Four eps. and four eps.

Galaxy Railways

Carrying on his deceased father and brother's will, Manabu Yuuki joins the Space Defense Force to protect the safety of the Galaxy Railways. Manabu faces many challenges as he rises from the ranks of the SDF, dealing with accidents, natural disasters, rescue operations and space pirates along all lines of the railway. The fleet of the Galaxy Railways transports countless galactic citizens from one exotic planet to the next, protected by the SDF, the elite force protecting the Railways Fleet against terrorists, meteor storms, and malicious alien life. These are the stories of those that travel the Galaxy Railways system and the people that are sworn to protect it. No one knows these stories better than Layla Destiny Shura, the leader of the system with the uncanny ability to see the fates of all those who travel on the Galaxy Railways.

Aquarion

In a distant future, humanity once again is facing the threat of the "Shadow Angels". Mystical creatures who returned after 12.000 years of absence. They attack human cities and kidnap their inhabitants in order to drain their "prana" (vital energy). To fight against them, youngsters with special powers from arround the world were gathered and trained to pilot the "vector machines", three ancient ships that together form mankind's ultimate weapon, "Aquarion". The story revolves mainly arround Apollo, a teenager rumored as the reencarnation of Apolonius, a fallen angel who fought against his own kind to protect mankind. Few believe it could be true, but the fact is that dispite his untamed and reckless nature, he proved to be an invaluable asset in the battle against the Shadow Angels.

Age ratings are availiable through the e-mail which you should get later today. Sorry for the late notice!!! (Life overtook us this week!)
