Halloween Showing!

Hey Everyone!

It's that time of year again...Halloween! In honor of the event, we'll be having a Halloween-themed night this Friday (November 2nd), from 7:30 on in A-1046. So, this means scary anime, costumes, and maybe even some candy! We'll also be drawing for our Member's Choice Showing Night, which is November 16th. Coming in costume will earn you an extra chance! (There will also be a costume contest, so you might want to come as something. Yourself is not considered to be a costume.)

We're screening...

The Cowboy Bebop Movie: Knockin' on Heaven's Door

As the Cowboy Bebop crew travels the stars, they learn of the largest bounty yet offered, 300 million oolong. Apparently, someone is wielding an incredibly powerful chemical weapon, and the authorities are at a loss to stop it. The war to take down the most dangerous criminal yet forces the crew to face a true madman, with bare hope to succeed.

Elfen Lied

The Diclonius are mutated homo sapiens, said to be selected by God to eventually become the destruction of mankind. They possess two horns in their heads, and have a "sixth sense" which gives telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murders most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives and drifts along to a beach, where two teenagers, Kouta and Yuka, discover her. Having lost her memories, they named her after the only thing that she can now say - "Nyuu" - and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet...

REMINDERS: We need new Executive members. Please come forward and e-mail us with why you'd like to join us.

Having not yet made a decision on a new logo, we are still accepting designs.

This showing is rated 16+, for violence and mature subject matter.

We hope to see you there (in costume)!

His mind has been warped and now he is on the warpath, exacting revenge on the society that once called him weak.

Midterm Fest!

As this weekend is Midterm Break, we're having Midterm Fest! For those of you that are new to us, this means not one night of anime, but two! (or sometimes three) Along with our extra night of anime, we limit what we view to a single series - the entire series.

This Friday and Saturday, October 5th and 6th, we're showing The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya , at 7:30 in A-1046. As the series is 14 episodes long, we'll be breaking it into two nights of 7 episodes.

On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behaviour is Kyon, the person who sits in front of Haruhi and the only person who talks to her. When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter, Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade).

Please note that this showing is rated 16+.

See you all on Friday!!
