Regarding the Showing - I've heard back from our two members. (For those of you unfamiliar with what we're doing this week, two of our members had their names drawn from a hat last showing and they each got to pick out what we're showing this week.)
Ironically, they came up with a theme night without speaking to each other about their choices.
Notes - A-1046, 7:30 start. Nothing new. Rating: 16+
And our theme is....SPACE COWBOYS~~~
To start, we get Outlaw Star (1-4) thanks to Aaron.
Gene Starwind and his partner Jim Hawking run a small business on the backwater planet of Centinel 3. But all that changes the day that Hilda hires them for a bodyguard job. Now, thrust into a mystery they don't fully understand, they're on the run from the cops, the pirates, an angry alien, and a mysterious assassin. But they've got one thing going in their favor - they have the galaxy's most advanced ship, the Outlaw Star.
Gene Starwind dreams of life as an Outlaw, and fate smiles on him as he seems to suddenly wind up with a great job. But as things go awry, and he finds himself the new owner of the fastest, most technologically advanced space ship in the galaxy. Unfortunately, it's stolen and the owners want it back... Along with his partner Jim and the lovely Melfina, Gene must fight his way across the galaxy battling pirates, aliens, and assassins as he attempts to discover the secrets of the Outlaw Star. And to complement this, we have Cowboy Bebop (1-4) courtesy of Eric.
Spike Spiegel, a bounty Hunter with a dark past, lives on bounty to bounty, barely making it each time, or not making it at all. His partners Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed and Ein the dog all help him in his adventures from planet to planet.
Hopefully we'll see you on Friday!
